On March 12, 2020, after anywhere from 1.5 to four inches of rain fell in the Santa Ana River Watershed, I shot the effects of the deluge at the Mission Bridge over the Santa Ana River between the City of Riverside and Jurupa Valley. For many hours, the Santa Ana River became a torrent. The two videos below show the outfall into the river from the detention area south of Fairmount Park in Riverside and the increased flow on the mainstem of the Santa Ana River.
